From Pathways Student to Client Manager: Sophie Burn’s Journey

At Bizdom, we’re passionate about creating real opportunities for young people — and Sophie Burn’s journey is a great example of what that can lead to.

Sophie joined Bizdom in 2022 through the Pathways programme, working with us one day a week while she was still a Year 13 student at Woodford House. Even at that early stage, she showed a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a genuine interest in the industry.

After finishing school, Sophie continued with Bizdom in an administrative role, where she quickly became a valued member of the team.

Over the past few years, many of our clients will have already interacted with Sophie over the phone. Her infectious friendliness and genuine care for people have made her a familiar and valued voice within the business.

Over the past three years, Sophie has balanced her role at Bizdom while completing her Bachelor of Commerce through Victoria University, majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law, with a minor in Taxation.

Gaining practical experience alongside her studies has allowed her to build both technical capability and real-world confidence.

This week marks an exciting milestone, as Sophie steps into her new role as a Client Manager.

Her journey reflects what’s possible when opportunity meets commitment. Sophie has grown from a student gaining early exposure to the profession into someone now supporting and advising clients with confidence.

We’re incredibly proud of what she has achieved and excited to see where her career continues to grow from here.

And while this isn’t a traditional corporate photo, it represents something more important — Sophie as a real person: approachable, grounded, and someone our clients can genuinely connect with.

Congratulations, Sophie.
